BOYS VARSITY Match Added....

We have added a BOYS VARSITY MATCH this Tuesday (12/15) at Holiday Bowl against Montville.

Montville does not have a girls team.  We are going to try to start the match EARLY.  They can be at Holiday Bowl by 3:15pm, so we will have NO DROP-OFF BUS!  Varsity boys, please try to get to Holiday Bowl as early as possible.

All others, JV Boys and All Girls:  I have extra lanes reserved so that you may practice.  Since their is not drop-off bus, this will be a voluntary practice.

We have regular match's next Wed and Thurs.

Schedule Changes

The Big North has made some changes to the schedule, AND the PRACTICE schedule has changed, so be sure to check back here for updates.  It should be finalized by next week.

Quick Update

Beginners Clinic is next Monday November 16th in Room 808.  It will be from 2:45-3:30pm.

First Practice at Holiday Bowl is next Tuesday November 17.  Their will be a bus available to drop you at the lanes, but NO return bus to IHHS.  You must get your own ride home from Holiday Bowl.

Their is one error in the practice schedule: the last date says Nov. 2nd.  Just ignore that.  I am scheduling practice for that first week of December and will get back to you at our first practice.

Holiday Bowl is having a Doubles League on Monday's at 4pm.  It is only $10 a week!

Fundraiser Tonight!

As I'm sure you know already, the IHHS Classes of 2017 and 2018 are hosting a bowling fundraiser tonight from 7-9PM at Holiday Bowl.

I'm not sure if its too late to sign up, but it would be great if some of our team members showed up to bowl, help out or just drum up support for us for next season!!!

Updates

#1- Mon March 30th the Boys Team will be recognized at the RIH Board of Education Meeting at 7pm.  Please plan to be there.

#2- Tues March 30th is the All-County Dinner.  So far I know Jon, Matt and Jared are going.  Who else is in?

Awards Dinners

The JV Dinner is this Tues 3/3.
The Varsity Dinner is Thurs 3/5.

You should have received notification about this from the Athletics Office or IH Parents Athletic Council.

The All-County Meeting is 3/31.  I am in the process of finding out if the whole boys team will attend to receive the Bergen County Team of the Year Award.  Details to follow.

Keep Your Heads Held High

A truly historic season comes to an end not how we may have wanted it to today.  Not to worry, we hit so many of our goals this year and plan to set AND attain many more for next year! 

I am so proud of all this team has accomplished this year and NOONE should take that lightly.  League, County and State Sectional Champs all in 1 season is amazing!  Add in so many records being broken and it really was a great year!  Keep your heads up and get ready for next year!  It will be here before you know it!

UPDATE!!!

I just got an email from the tournament director:

INDIVIDUAL FINALS to start tomorrow at 10:30am, not 9:30am to allow for safe travel.

Because of this change, we will now be leaving IHHS at 7:45AM, not 7:15AM.

Reminder for Wednesday

The bus is leaving the parking lot by 7:20AM and should be parked by the Teachers/Board of Education Parking Lot.

Please be there on time with your equipment and money to bowl a few games and for lunch.

Congrats....and the season CONTINUES!!!

Congrats to Ryan and the Team!  State Sectional Championships aren't exactly easy to win.  The proof is in the IHHS Gym.  That was only the 3rd one in school history!  We all have a lot to be thankful for!  Now let's go win the State Title!  And, as I just told the Star ledger Reporter, this is definitely our best team going to compete for it and I believe that we will win!!!

We are canceled for today!!!  We will bowl Ramapo TOMORROW!!!!!

Update for Monday!!!

 IF bad weather closes school on Monday or we have an early dismissal, we will bowl Ramapo on Tues 2/10. 

If Monday is a regular day or delayed opening, we are still bowling on Monday.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

A record setting day for the Boys Bowling Team, Bergen County Champs for the first time in school history!  And Jonny is the Bergen County Individual Champ!!

Boys County Tournament Info

-Saturday morning bus departure: 7:30AM

-We get to Bowler City around 8AM.  We will practice on our own before the tournament.

-Tournament starts at 9AM.  We bowl 3 games, take a lunch break (bring money) and bowl 3 more games.

-Total combined pinfall wins the tournament.  Individual awards are also given: Tournament Champion, High Game, etc...

**REMEMBER TO BOWL TODAY AND REST TOMORROW**

(For All-County Awards at the end of the season, this tournament counts as 20% of your total average.  Regular season counts as 70% and the State Sectional Tournament counts as 10%)

OBVIOUSLY, it looks like tomorrow will canceled.  If we have school Wednesday, we should bowl at Bowler City (even if its a delayed opening on Wednesday).  We just have to make sure that Hackensack has school on Wednesday too.
